Evaluation Fee versus Cancellation Fee
Many people have the misconception that when we are charging a cancellation fee, it is the same as charging an evaluation fee. However, this is not the case as we will be explaining further.
Some companies charge a fixed evaluation fee when you submit the media to them. When they mean by evaluation fee, you have to pay them to evaluate the disk, regardless of whether is it recoverable or not after the evaluation result.
However, at Adroit Data Recovery Centre, we do not charge evaluation fee, i.e. you do not pay us anything upon receiving your disk for evaluation. We only charge cancellation fee, i.e. upon evaluating your disk and a quote given to you. If you do not want to proceed after the quotation, you just have to cancel the job at a minimal fee of $50 (standard service). The reason being that we charge a cancellation fee is to deter insincere customers from getting FREE quote (who might also be looking for other companies for a quote) from us therefore the penalty. During the evaluation, if the disk is deemed to be unrecoverable, there will be NO CHARGE at all, not even the cancellation fee. (See our no data, no charge policy)
