- Adroit Data Recovery Centre Pte Ltd (hereinafter is referred to as ADRC) provides unlimited data recovery services covering parts and labour for the stated contract period.
- ADRC DataInsure for Lenovo (hereinafter is referred to as DataInsure) is only valid to the computer hard disks it was bundled with. This service contract is not exchangeable for cash.
- DataInsure will commence immediately after online registration. The service is only valid after a successful registration. End users are required to register within 45 days from date of purchase of the computer. ADRC will not provide data recovery services for unregistered computers. You are required to keep the DataInsure card and tax invoice of computer purchase in case we need to authenticate further.
- The data recovery services are fully rendered by ADRC. As such, computer manufacturer will not, under any circumstances, be liable for the data recovery services performed by ADRC to the end user.
- This service program covers unlimited recovery service for 3.5” Desktop or 2.5” notebook IDE, SATA drive of the computer with the following damages:
Logical Failure (software damage)
- Deleted files, formatted disks resulted to data loss.
- Corrupted system partitions on drive.
- Computer virus causes data loss.
- Software corruption.
- System malfunction causes data loss. E.g. unstable Operating System (OS)
Physical failure (hardware damage)
- Drive damage by impact due to dropping, vibration (head crashed).
- Drive damage by components overheating due to prolong usage
- Drive damage Wear & tear (mechanical failures)
- Drive damage due to burned chips found on PCB board (electrical failure)
- Drive damage due to water spillage or power surge.
- If data recovery service is needed, the computer must be sent to PC manufacturer’s service centre for 1st level repair service before sending the drive to ADRC for recovery.
- ADRC will not perform data recovery services if the registered hard disk drive has been mishandled, hard disk seals are tampered with or other indications that the disks have been opened. In these situations, DataInsure will be void without any cash reimbursements.
- The recovery will generally take 3 to 5 workdays. Any jobs by default will go to “Normal Queue” on a first come first served basis.
- The user’s hard disk has to be in working condition at point of registration. Failure to note this point will void the DataInsure service contract. No cash reimbursements will be made.
- Not all cases are recoverable. The recovery will always be done on best effort basis. Data Recovery Service does not apply to permanent data loss due to complete or partial overwriting or very severe data platter damage due to crashing read-write heads.
- ADRC completely covers the costs of recovery, which include the parts, service and lab fee explicitly. ADRC will not cover any other costs associated with the recovery such as delivery fees or loss of business due to data loss.
- The recovery must not be of computer forensic in nature. Forgotten passwords to access a secured disk or file system are not covered under this service.
- DataInsure is not transferable. While ADRC does not limit the number of data recovery services, the data recovery services is only applicable to the hard disk that was registered with DataInsure. Replacement to the registered hard disk will void the DataInsure service contract.
- Warranty of hard disks that are physically opened for data recovery services will be rendered void. No further warranty claims can be made against Lenovo or the OEM.
- All personal details submitted to ADRC will not be disclosed in any way except to computer manufacturer or for ADRC’s internal consumption.
